This update includes miscellaneous security improvements to internal OS features. No other issues are recorded in this version.

CTOnews.com has learned that if earlier updates are installed, only the new updates included in this package will be downloaded and installed.

Windows 11 Service Stack Update-22000.1035

This update improves the quality of the service stack (the component that installs the Windows update). Service stack updates (SSU) ensure that you have a reliable service stack so that devices can receive and install Microsoft updates.

Known problem

After you install this update, file replication using Group Policy preferences may fail, or you may create empty shortcuts or files that use 0 (zero) bytes. It is known that the affected Group Policy objects are related to files and shortcuts in the user configuration > preferences > Windows settings in the Group Policy Editor.

Solution: in order to alleviate this problem, the relevant measures are as follows:

Uncheck "run in the secure environment of the logged in user (user policy option)". Note: this may not alleviate the problem of projects that use wildcards (*).

In the affected group policy, change the Action from replace to Update.

If you use a wildcard (*) in a location or target, removing the trailing "/" (backslash without quotation marks) from the target may make the copy successful.

Microsoft is working on this issue and will provide updates in the upcoming release.
