CTOnews.com Apple's latest data shows that the App Store, launched in 2008, now offers about 1.8 million apps, with more than 500 million users visiting the App Store each week from 175 countries and regions.

CTOnews.com understands that Apple says it provides developers with tools and end-to-end support to help them build, test, market and distribute apps to more than 1.5 billion Apple devices. The free tools and frameworks suite includes software development kits (SDKs) and developer services with more than 250,000 APIs to enable developers to build iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS apps.

These tools help developers add new features to apps and harness the power of technologies such as machine learning and AR. Apple uses programs like Apple Developer Academies, Entrepreneur Camp, App Accelerator, and WWDC Student Scholarships, as well as open access tools like Everyone Can Code and Swift Playgrounds.

In addition, Apple today announced Ask Apple, a new interactive Q & A and one-on-one consultation series. Ask Apple is free and open to all members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program. Ask Apple's first round of events will be held from October 17 to 21.
