In terms of production, in September, China's power battery production totaled 59.1GWh, an increase of 155.2% over the same period last year and 18.1% month-on-month growth. Among them, ternary battery output 24.3GWh, accounting for 41.1% of the total output, an increase of 152.1% over the same period last year and 26.1% month-on-month growth; lithium iron phosphate battery output 34.8GWh, accounting for 58.8% of the total output, up 157.4% from the same period last year, up 13.0% from the same period last year. From January to September, China's power battery output accumulated 372.1GWh, a cumulative increase of 176.2% over the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative output of ternary batteries 150.2GWh, accounting for 40.4% of the total output, increased by 139.0% over the same period last year; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate batteries 221.3GWh, accounting for 59.5% of the total output, increased by 209.0% over the same period last year.

In terms of sales, in September, China's power battery sales totaled 46.5GWh, an increase of 161.6% over the same period last year. Among them, ternary battery sales 23.4GWh, accounting for 50.4% of the total sales, an increase of 207.1% over the same period last year; lithium iron phosphate battery sales 23.0GWh, accounting for 49.4% of the total sales, up 127.2% from the same period last year. From January to September, the cumulative sales of power batteries in China reached 367.0GWh, an increase of 243.8% over the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative sales of ternary batteries 163.8GWh accounted for 44.6% of the total sales, an increase of 232.4% over the same period last year, while the cumulative sales of lithium iron phosphate batteries 203.0GWh, accounting for 55.3% of the total sales, increased by 257.8% over the same period last year.

In terms of loading capacity, in September, China's power battery load 31.6GWh, an increase of 101.6% over the same period last year, an increase of 14.0% month-on-month. Among them, ternary battery 11.2GWh accounted for 35.4% of the total installed capacity, an increase of 82.6% over the same period last year and 6.5% compared with the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery 20.4GWh accounted for 64.5% of the total installed capacity, up 113.8% from the same period last year and 18.5% from the previous year. From January to September, the cumulative installed capacity of power batteries in China was 193.7GWh, an increase of 110.5% over the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative loading of ternary batteries 77.2GWh, accounting for 39.8 percent of the total installed capacity, increased by 63.9 percent over the same period last year; the cumulative loading of lithium iron phosphate batteries 116.3GWh, accounting for 60.1 percent of the total installed capacity, increased by 159.8 percent over the same period last year.

In September, a total of 36 power battery enterprises were installed in China's new energy vehicle market, 3 fewer than the same period last year. The power battery loads of the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery companies are 24.2GWh, 26.5GWh and 29.9GWh respectively, accounting for 76.4%, 83.7% and 94.6% of the total installed capacity, respectively. From January to September, a total of 48 power battery enterprises in China's new energy vehicle market were installed, 6 fewer than the same period last year. The top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery enterprises installed 148.4GWh, 162.6GWh and 182.9GWh respectively, accounting for 76.6%, 83.9% and 94.4% of the total installed capacity, respectively.

In terms of exports, in September, the export volume of China's power batteries totaled 6.8GWh. Among them, ternary battery export volume 4.6GWh, lithium iron phosphate battery export volume 2.2GWh. From January to September, the export volume of power batteries in China totaled 90.6GWh. Among them, ternary battery export volume 26.6GWh, lithium iron phosphate battery export volume 63.8GWh.

CTOnews.com learned that the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance also announced the top 15 domestic power battery installed companies in September. Among them, Ningde era firmly ranked first with 47.80%, while BYD, China New Airlines, Guoxuan Hi-Tech and LG New Energy ranked 2-5 with 22.44%, 6.16%, 4.33% and 2.96%, respectively. In addition, the 6th to 15th places are Xinwangda, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Ruipu Lanjun, Honeycomb Energy, Zhengli Xinneng (Tafel), Funeng Technology, Jiewei Power, Duofudo, Lishen and Penghui Energy.
