CTOnews.com, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) Xiaomi launched its Redmi Pad tablet computer in India last week, with a basic model priced at 12999 Indian rupees (about 1130 yuan). Now, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi tablet in India, which is not an Android tablet, but a cheap "small blackboard" for children and adults to take notes and doodle.

The Redmi tablet is equipped with an 8.5inch LCD screen, which Xiaomi says does not glow and mimics the appearance of paper ink to prevent eye fatigue after long use. The slate, made of ABS, weighs 90 grams and has a body size of 21cm X 14cm X 0.5cm.

The Redmi tablet also comes with a pressure-sensitive stylus that allows users to switch between different stroke sizes to create different tones. This stylus weighs 5 grams and is easy to use with a sliding and connecting mechanism.

Once you have finished doodling or taking notes, users can clear the screen by clicking the orange button. There is also a key lock on the side of the Redmi Wordpad to prevent content from being deleted from the screen.

However, the WordPad does not seem to allow content to be synchronized with other devices.

CTOnews.com learned that the tablet is supported by CR2016's replaceable button battery, which is said to have a range of 20000 pages.

The Redmi tablet is in black, and Xiaomi's official Indian website shows the price of 599 Indian rupees (about 52 yuan).
