CTOnews.com learned that the national passenger car market analysis data released by the Federation of passengers today showed that wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 675000 in September, an increase of 94.9% over the same period last year and 6.2% from the previous month. From January to September, 4.341 million new energy passenger vehicles were wholesale, an increase of 115.4% over the same period last year. Retail sales of new energy passenger cars reached 611000 in September, an increase of 82.9% over the same period last year, and an increase of 14.7% from January to September. From January to September, there were 3.877 million domestic retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles, an increase of 113.2% over the same period last year. In addition, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles in September was 31.8%, up 11 percentage points from 21.1% in September 2021.

The Federation said that with the implementation of the half-cut in car purchase tax into the countdown stage, the attention of potential consumers to buy cars has increased significantly, while car prices are still low, but the urgency for consumers to buy cars is not high. It is customary for car prices to enter the promotion contraction period in October, and the continued high sales at the end of the year before the withdrawal of the future policy will further reduce the promotion, so October is the best time to buy a car.
