In September 2022, Andre Perez, former Nike global vice president and general manager of Jordan's women's division, became senior vice president of global marketing for Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) / PlayStation. The news was leaked by several media and SVP LinkedIn, and Perez shared her work at Nike and her new role at SIE.

CTOnews.com learned that Peres will oversee a number of global marketing campaigns related to PlayStation. Peres, a former head of marketing for Nike's Jordan women's wear division, can give her a unique insight into this particular group of people, and the current video games and PlayStation brands are largely male-centric, and Sony's move may be to better attract players from other gender and age groups. Not just games, Perez will also promote all PlayStation products, including the new PlayStation Stars program, as well as hardware such as PS5 and PSVR headsets.
