CTOnews.com October 10 news, in this month's Made By Google autumn event, Google officially launched its first smart watch Google Pixel Watch.

The Pixel Watch's new support page shows that Google will provide software updates for the watch for at least three years, starting in October 2022, meaning the Pixel Watch is guaranteed not to stop updating until October 2025.

The support page further adds that software updates for the Pixel Watch will include security enhancements, new features, operating system updates, bug fixes, and more. However, this page does not specify the update frequency.

CTOnews.com has learned that Google has confirmed that it will provide software updates for at least five years for its flagship Pixel 7 / Pro line of phones. These may include monthly security updates, quarterly feature updates, and annual operating system upgrades.

Google Pixel Watch comes pre-installed with Wear OS 3.5 and is compatible with Android phones with Android 8.0 and higher. When it comes to notifications, Pixel Watch gives you whatever information you need via swipe, touch or voice.
