Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

In the past two months, frauds in the name of "cancellation of JD.com gold bars" continue to appear, swindlers to obtain online loans for the purpose of victims, and have repeatedly succeeded.

In this kind of fraud, two points are more prominent. First, there is no lack of high-knowledge young people with a strong sense of anti-fraud among the victims; second, most of the victims are defrauded by online loans.

Nowadays, micro-loans in the names of consumer loans, inclusive loans and Huimin loans are very active, and many people do not need to provide too much identification or offline verification, and can lend out tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of cash in just a few minutes. In the eyes of swindlers, these online loans, which are not complicated in the acquisition process, are deposits that the target can withdraw at any time, and have become their coveted prey.

At 10:00 in the evening, Wang Hao, a PhD student at Beijing normal University, followed the police car to the Bei Taipingzhuang police station in Haidian District, where a friend who had the same experience with him was reporting the case, looking haggard. The police told Wang Hao that you were the fourth victim of fraud in the name of "canceling JD.com 's gold bar" today.

On the afternoon of July 3, Wang Hao received a customer service call claiming to be "JD.com cancellation Department". The other party accurately gave his name, identity card number, and graduation school, and claimed that "according to the latest online loan regulations issued by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission in conjunction with five ministries and commissions, student users are prohibited from applying for quotas and loans from the financial platform." order all financial companies to rectify all student users, and ask Wang Hao to cancel the student account in JD.com 's gold bar so as not to affect credit investigation.

Wang Hao believed it and added the QQ of another "JD.com cancellation department". Under the guidance of fake customer service, Wang Hao turned on the sharing screen and entered a series of "logout codes" on the phone's keyboard.

Subsequently, the fake customer service claimed that the "virtual funds" in Wang Haojingdong's gold bars needed to be emptied and transferred to the official account of the CBRC. Then, on the grounds of related accounts, Wang Hao was guided to transfer out of Huabai, Bank of China E loan, good customer loan, Anyi Hua, good installment, loan line in the credit card of China Merchants Bank, plus personal deposits, totaling more than 230,000 yuan.

Photo | the transfer record sorted out by Wang Hao hung up the 4-hour QQ call with the fake customer service. Wang Hao dialed JD.com 's official customer service number, and the customer service reply was like a bolt from the blue-"JD.com does not have a 'cancellation department'."

August 12, July 15 of the lunar calendar, Ghost Festival. Designer Yang Shuo was impressed by this day because it really seemed like he had seen a ghost. A man who called himself "JD.com customer service" called him, who not only reported his personal information, but also listed the registration time and use of his JD.com slip. Then, under the guidance of customer service, he lent out 24000 yuan in WeiLiDai, plus his own deposit of 25650 yuan, and transferred it to the other party's account.

On August 10, two days ago, Liu Na, who works in the education industry, received a phone call with the same money. during the three-hour call, Liu Na successively lent 50,000 yuan from WeiLiDai and 81,000 yuan from the Bank of China E loan, totaling 130000 1,000 yuan. transferred to a swindler's account.

On September 19, Chen Yong, the management of a well-known financial media, successively lent out 88,000 yuan from WeiLiDai and 140000 6,000 yuan from the Bank of China E loan, totaling 230000 4,000 yuan, into the swindler's account during a nearly two-hour phone call with the swindler.

Such as "impersonating JD.com white bar / gold bar customer service" as the model of fraud, recently in a high incidence situation. Online to "JD.com gold bar", "fraud" as the key words to search, you can see a large number of victims wrote down the experience of being deceived, the related reports are numerous.

JD.com is obviously aware of this problem. A few days ago, Sister Lu tried to borrow 1000 yuan from JD.com 's gold bar. Instead of receiving the account in real time as usual, she received a phone call. The AI customer service asked in the first sentence:

Have you received a call to cancel JD.com 's gold bar?

Lu Jie joined a group called "impersonating JD.com customer service to shut down gold bars / white bars victims", in which most of the 47 members are young people born in the 1990s. The least of them were cheated by tens of thousands, and most of them were cheated by hundreds of thousands.

A precious mother who was pregnant with a second child was cheated out of more than one million yuan.

As most of the money cheated is borrowed by the online lending platform, it means that this group of victims are burdened with hundreds of thousands of debts out of thin air. According to the repayment rules of the online loan platform, the loan generally needs to be repaid within a year, and the repayment pressure of the victim may be greater than that of the mortgage.

# 02 in public perception, most of the victims of telecom fraud are people with weak anti-fraud awareness, such as the elderly, and among the victims of such fraud, there is no lack of high-knowledge people such as doctors, teachers, lawyers and journalists who are deceived before they are deceived. they all feel that they have strong anti-fraud ability.

According to the Southeast Morning Post, more than 70% of the hoodwinkers have a bachelor's degree. Such people pay more attention to credit information and are more familiar with Internet applications. Swindlers seize these characteristics, pertinently produce corresponding speech skills, accompanied by threats and inducements, and finally harvest these social elites.

From the experience of several victims, the shortest time to talk to a swindler is close to two hours, and the longest is more than four hours. In the non-stop call, whenever the victim has doubts, the swindler can come up with convincing evidence to gain trust.

In the process of Wang Hao being deceived, the swindler can send his identity certificate "through JD.com 's official customer service chat box". In Yang Shuo's case, the swindler could even freeze his Wechat and bank card.

Picture | screenshot of JD.com App. The message is actually sent by swindlers through remote login to the victim's account, and some swindlers even say with certainty: if you don't believe it, you can have a counter-fraud APP.

In order to maintain the state of "two-person world" with the victim, the swindler will immediately ask the victim to enter the "* * 21 * phone number #" code on the mobile keypad on the grounds of entering the "logout code" to turn on the mobile phone call transfer function. so that all calls can't come in.

During the whole call process, the swindler will let the victim download APP such as "Cloud Video", "just in time", "Le broadcast cast screen" and "meeting Bao", turn on the sharing screen and get the victim's mobile phone information completely. Because of the generally long talk time, swindlers have plenty of room for detour. They first guide the victims to send and receive text messages, enter codes and other operations, bury an introduction, and then splice it in half an hour, using a movie montage-like technique to perform a seemingly magical operation.

It turned out that the so-called "frozen Wechat" and "JD.com official chat box" were merely the result of a text message or verification that the victim had been induced to send by a swindler. But at that time, the swindler had constructed an "unassailable logic" through cannon talk, and the victim didn't have time to think.

A police officer handling a case said that as long as the liar answered the phone for more than five minutes, few people would be able to escape completely.

# 03 many people think that as long as they have no money, liars cannot be fooled. But now, Internet financial platforms are competing for microloans such as consumer loans, making it easy for the working class to become invisible millionaires. Even students like Wang Hao, who have not yet graduated, can lend hundreds of thousands of cash from major online loan platforms with an undergraduate diploma.

The rate of lending is also faster than ever. In the past, when you applied for a credit card, you had to fill in a series of information at the counter and get the real card after examination and approval. The amount in the card is also gradually increased with the use of repayment. The online loan platform can directly give a relatively large amount, and real-time to the account.

Take JD.com Gold Bar, WeiLiDai and Bank of China E loan, which appear most frequently in the victim's story, as an example, the victim only needs a simple verification to complete the registration and withdraw a huge amount of cash from it. The whole process will only take a few minutes at the earliest.

Before that, several victims had never even heard of these platforms.

In general consumption, only buying a house and a car can involve a large loan, and the loan process of both can only be completed by verifying various materials under the guidance of professional personnel. The most important thing is that the money lent is a public-to-public transfer, that is, the bank calls directly to the real estate or car sales company, the individual will not handle the funds, and avoid the risk of fraud.

When the online loan platform borrows money, you only need to check "personal consumption" or "education" and other options in the "use" column at will, you can withdraw the amount up to several hundred thousand immediately. The platform does not review the whereabouts or true use of the funds.

Five years ago, P2P was all the rage under the name of financial innovation, and even gave rise to a cancer of the times such as 714 antiaircraft artillery. With the state control, the chaos has stopped, and the interest on micro-loans has gradually dropped from 36% or 24% to 15-18% now.

After that, Internet companies have launched small loan platforms to take over the demand in the market, and the competition is fierce. Borrow, WeiLiDai, du Lesser Fullness of Grain, Meituan small loan, 360IOU, in any corner of the Internet, you can easily find their promotion information. Relying on the advantages of flow and capital, they have become the leading players in the industry.

Especially in the past two years, the value of micro-loan business is particularly obvious. The overall operation of the Internet industry is bleak, whether it is games, advertising, e-commerce, the development is facing varying degrees of fluctuations. Looking at the financial reports of various companies, consumer finance, with online lending as its main business, has become one of the few growth businesses.

On the other hand, these micro-loan platforms are considered to have a long way to go in ensuring the safety of online loans. Several victims reported that in the process of being deceived, they all shared the screen with the swindler, and the phones were all set to call transfer. In the case of the loan process and transfer password exposed, there is no platform for risk warning.

One victim said that if the blessing of the giant is only reflected in the convenience of loans, it is difficult to say whether this convenience is convenient for users or fraudsters.

# 04 "cousin TOM" is a well-known online anti-fraud V, with 1.990 million followers on bilibili. With superb craftsmanship, often "accidentally" clicked into the computer background of the swindler gang, leading everyone to stand in God's perspective to watch the liar's daily life. In addition to doing anti-fraud publicity and rescuing victims, my cousin's favorite things include replacing the liar's computer desktop with scary pictures late at night, and controlling the fraudster's computer to play "Chinese people do not deceive Chinese people" and so on.

At the same time, my cousin has been cooperating with the public security system as a technical expert to crack down on fraudsters at home and abroad. Recently, he also noticed the fraud of "impersonating JD.com 's gold bar customer service" and has controlled the computer backstage of five or six gangs through "technical means."

The computer desktops of liars are densely covered with all kinds of documents. A document called "detailed copywriting of JD JD.com" begins with seven "rules" that require team members to be service-conscious and considerate of others. The first rule is: friendly and kind attitude, standard language, patient guidance.

In Article 7, it is mentioned that if you don't believe once, 2, 3, and 4 murmurs 10 times is the truth.

Picture | the file on the swindler's computer records all kinds of advanced PUA skills in a document called "Little Dragon Classic language" (Little Dragon may be their "crown"):

"if you talk to me with such words and attitude again, it will be a verbal attack on my life, and I will choose to jump off a building."

"in reality, there are ups and downs, and you are silent on the Internet. Sister, I contacted you through JD.com, but you said I was like a liar. Where is my dignity?"

In addition, swindlers do not hesitate to swear, "I will never do anything worse than pigs and dogs" and "if I lie to you, I will be killed by a car when I go out."

All kinds of technical words are closely matched, corresponding to different answers and different situations. In addition, there are also personal information forms, detailed procedures of the lending platform, forged customer service systems and supporting documents in the swindler's computer. In the implementation of fraud, the swindler switches back and forth between the various documents while communicating with the victim, and the process goes smoothly.

Photo | chat notes of swindlers (they call the victims "fish") cousin said that most of these fraud gangs are in northern Myanmar. Although the background can be controlled by technology, it is not appropriate to intervene. Once a wake-up call, a liar can start all over again with a different network. At present, it plays a more "monitoring" role, determining the identity of the liar through the daily chat and online details of the swindler, and then adding it to the list of online fugitives.

Cousin said that it often takes months to determine the identity of a liar in this way, which is far from keeping up with the speed of fraud. Even if the fraudsters are identified and arrested after they return home, it will be difficult to recover the funds involved, and a large number of these people have also been tricked into northern Myanmar, subjected to coercion, and have not benefited from it.

It is also difficult to trace the flow of funds. After receiving the money transfer from the victim, the money will immediately enter the "water room" after a round of money laundering. This link generally takes place in China, and it is possible to catch some "ponies" as a clue, but these people are sentenced for "helping network information crimes" at most, and the punishment is limited.

Once the funds are converted into virtual currencies and transferred abroad, there will be no trace.

In the past, it is still difficult for telecom fraud to recover losses. At present, social punishment is mainly based on prevention and control. On September 17, Sanya police cracked a fraud case of "impersonating a staff member of JD.com". The victim was a female medical worker in Hainan. The general public generally hopes that the more money can be recovered, the better.

On the swindler's computer, there are many names of personal information. Some are classified by schools, some by regions, and even have exclusive lists of "teachers" and "employees of state-owned enterprises". Most of them contain name, mobile phone number, ID number, political outlook, occupation and other information. Judging from the characteristics, my cousin does not think that these personal information was leaked from JD.com.

Picture | personal information in a liar's computer the fact that Chinese people run naked on the Internet is nothing new. In June this year, App, a common software used by college students, was leaked, involving 100, 72.73 million pieces of students' personal information. This information will be resold for many rounds and will eventually reach the end of the black chain at a very low price, that is, in the hands of fraud gangs.

After being defrauded, each victim is dealt with differently, and money has a different weight for each person. In 2016, a would-be female college student in Huilai County, Jieyang, jumped into the sea and committed suicide after being defrauded of 10,000 yuan by telecommunications. Ten thousand yuan is her parents' savings saved by working for more than half a year. "if anyone asks me, say I had an accident, not because I was cheated, that would be stupid," she wrote in her suicide note.

After being deceived, most of the victims will not speak out. Wang Hao, Yang Shuo and Liu Na told Sister Lu that they did not tell their families about being cheated, but chose to swallow the bitter fruit themselves.

After Chen Yong, a financial media man, posted his experience of being deceived in moments, a number of friends contacted him to tell him about his similar experience of being defrauded. This is a private complaint between the same "big grievances", and they did not tell their families.

Wang Hao immediately contacted the platform and the bank, which waived the interest on the loan after learning that he had been defrauded. But Wang Hao did not appreciate it. He called his mentors and classmates one by one and temporarily borrowed a sum of money to pay off all the 170,000 loans. Subsequently, all lending platforms were closed.

Liu Na is a young teacher. 130000 is equivalent to her income for two years. After being cheated, she contacted the platform and the bank successively. After asking her to "prove that she was herself" and "proved that she was cheated", the bank refused all her requests on the grounds that "she borrowed the money voluntarily."

Among the victims, another victim, who was cheated by 130000, communicated with the bank, and the bank said she could pay for a pot.

Chen Yong, a financial media man, does not plan to repay the platform's loan. With a lot of debt, car loans and home loans to be repaid, credit checking doesn't matter. He intends to work with platforms and banks in the end.

Among his loans, one is a consumer loan and the other is an education loan. In the process, he believes that banks and platforms have not fulfilled their audit obligations at all to confirm that his loans are used for "consumption" and "education". He, who is more familiar with the business environment, believes that most of such frauds can be avoided if the platform or banks can operate prudently and achieve a minimum level of risk control management and risk tips.

"if you are still collecting interest from the whole incident and become the beneficiary of criminal activities, then I even suspect that you are conniving at fraud." Chen Yong consulted the relevant court decision cases, there is no lack of examples of victimized cases, banks and platforms need to bear some responsibility.

On September 2, the National people's Congress just passed the Anti-Telecom Network Fraud Law of the people's Republic of China, which is a special legislation against fraud. It is mentioned in Article 6 of the General provisions that telecom business operators, banking financial institutions, non-bank payment institutions and Internet service providers shall bear the responsibility of risk prevention and control, and establish an internal control mechanism and security responsibility system against telecom network fraud. strengthen the security assessment of fraud-related risks in new business.

In terms of financial governance and Internet governance, the Anti-Fraud Law clearly puts forward requirements on Internet platforms and banks' due diligence obligations and relevant risk management.

It may be due to the relevant operations in JD.com Finance, which were judged as potential users by the platform. In the days after being cheated, Yang Shuo and Wu Na both received official sales calls from JD.com Finance.

To Yang Shuo's wry smile, the AI customer service of JD.com 's gold bar said he could apply for an interest-free loan of 50, 9650 yuan, which is almost the same as the 40, 000 yuan cheated.

The target groups of fraud prevention and summary fraudsters are mostly young people with high academic qualifications, taking the excessively high interest rate of "JD.com gold bars" affecting credit information as a starting point to defraud the target's loans in various online loan platforms.

The liar is so outstanding in Mandarin that he is comparable to the host.

Incomplete statistics, Bank of China E loan, WeiLiDai are the most favored by swindlers.

Under special circumstances, swindlers can freeze the target's Wechat and bank cards.

Swindlers can forge JD.com 's customer service system, or realize the illusion of communicating with the target on JD.com 's App.

The swindler will ask the target to enter the "* 21 * phone number #" on the keyboard on the grounds of canceling the virtual fund account. The call forwarding code should be set for the mobile phone.

The swindler can accurately say the name, ID number, mobile phone number, unit and other information of the target.

The swindler will tell the registration time of the target JD.com White Bar / Gold Bar. But this information does not exist in the background of the liar, and most likely it is the swindler's random guess.

The swindler will ask the target to download APP such as "Cloud Video", "just in time", "Le broadcast cast screen", "Conference Treasure", or turn on the sharing screen through QQ.

The swindler will let the target log in and make a payment according to the default "invoice title" in the background.

After being cheated, do not try to communicate with the liar, because the swindler has another way to continue to deceive the victim.

After being cheated, immediately to the bank to apply for "emergency stop payment", but most likely will be rejected.
