CTOnews.com, Oct. 10, according to RUNTO's monthly tracking of China Surveillance camera online Retail Market (China Security Camera Online RetailMarket Monthly Tracker) report, in August 2022, online sales of surveillance cameras in China were 1.36 million, down 8.3% from the previous month; sales were 310 million yuan, down 5.7% from the previous month; and the average price was 228 yuan, up 6 yuan from last month.

CTOnews.com learned that after a sustained rise from April to June, the camera market has declined for two consecutive months after a sharp boost in the middle of the year, mainly due to the downturn in consumer demand after sales promotion and the decline in consumption vitality caused by the spread of the epidemic.

Head brand concentration has further increased. In August 2022, the TOP4 brand share (CR4) of the camera market was 41.6%, up 1.7% from the previous month.

There are no new brands in the TOP10 list, the ranking of the first five brands has not changed, and their shares have increased slightly. Among them, Xiaomi's share at the top of the list was 18%, up 0.98% from the previous month and the largest share increase among the TOP10 brands.

Among the TOP6-10 brands, Haekangwei rose to seventh place, with a 0.76 percentage point increase in share and a 16 per cent month-on-month increase in sales; if it merged with its fluorite brand, it would account for 11.1 per cent, second only to Xiaomi.
