According to the project, the existing plant of Shanghai BYD Co., Ltd. is located in Songjiang District, Shanghai, which belongs to the eastern area of Songjiang Economic and technological Development Zone. mainly engaged in lithium batteries, solar battery modules and other electronic components manufacturing, as well as non-ferrous metal composites, new alloy materials processing.

In addition, the existing products of Shanghai BYD Co., Ltd. mainly include lithium-ion batteries, high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, plastic shells, solar cell modules, recycled lithium battery modules, small energy storage systems, new lithium-ion batteries and magnesium-aluminum alloy parts.

According to the data, BYD sold 201259 new energy vehicles in September and 1180054 new energy vehicles from January to September 2022, a cumulative increase of 249.56 percent over the same period last year.
