CTOnews.com, October 9, according to the official account of "Southwest Railway", the Bailan Tunnel of Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway (referred to as Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway) was successfully completed on October 6.

Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway Bailan tunnel is located in Luochang Town, Gao County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, with a total length of 185 meters. It is a double-lane tunnel with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour and a maximum buried depth of 20 meters.

On the same day, the Yukun Gaotiegao County Tunnel, 8 kilometers away from the Bailan Tunnel, also ushered in a major node of 1000 meters. Gaoxian tunnel is 6177 meters long, with a maximum buried depth of about 479m, which is a micro-gas tunnel.

CTOnews.com learned that the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming channel, one of the main channels of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railways in China. The line starts from Chongqing West Railway Station, passes through Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan provinces, and connects to Kunming South Railway Station, with a total length of 699km. A total of 21 stations are planned.

The railway department said that after the completion of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway project, it can greatly improve the backward transport infrastructure along the line and effectively shorten the space-time distance between the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration and the central Yunnan urban agglomeration.
