CTOnews.com, October 9 (Xinhua)-- US electric car company Rivian is recalling almost all its vehicles because of loose fasteners on the front suspension, according to CNN.

The recall involved 12212 electric pickups, trucks and SUV, according to documents submitted by the company to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Rivian said in a statement that the electric car maker sent a message to customers Friday local time informing customers of the recall and stressed that it had not heard of any injuries caused by the problem.

Rivian said it had received seven reports that could be related to the above problems, and that no one had been injured, and advised customers who began to notice any abnormal noise or vibration in the front of the vehicle to contact Rivian immediately.

In addition, Rivian pointed out that the company has the ability to inspect all affected vehicles and carry out the necessary repairs within 30 days without any cost to customers or any significant financial impact on the company.

CTOnews.com learned that Rivian makes R1T electric pickups, R1s SUV and electric delivery vans for Amazon, the company's biggest investor. This is the company's third recall, according to NHTSA. The company recalled about 500 vehicles in August for airbag problems and about 200 in May for problems involving seat belt anchors.
