CTOnews.com learned that the satellite of the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory is mainly used to study the causal relationship between solar flare bursts, coronal mass ejection and solar magnetic field, and provides data support for space weather forecasting. This mission is also the 442nd flight of the long March series of carrier rockets.

It is China's first comprehensive solar exploration satellite independently put forward by Chinese solar physicists.

According to reports, taking advantage of the opportunity of the 25th week peak year of solar activity, the advanced space-based solar observatory will simultaneously observe the two most violent explosive phenomena on the sun-solar flares and coronal mass ejections, as well as the whole-day vector magnetic field to study the origin, interaction and interrelation of solar magnetic field, solar flare and coronal mass ejection, and also provide support for disastrous space weather forecasting.
