CTOnews.com, October 7 (Xinhua)-- A Falcon 9 rocket from SpaceX preparing for its 14th flight was suspended less than a minute before it was ignited on Thursday (October 6, local time).

The rocket, originally scheduled to be launched from the Cape Canaveral launch site at 7:20 EDT, will carry two communications satellites, Galaxy 33 and Galaxy 34, but was automatically suspended 30 seconds before the planned launch.

SpaceX said it would conduct a second launch attempt at 7:06 EDT on October 7. In response, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said the automatic suspension was triggered by a slight helium leak on the rocket.

"We will not risk launching a customer's satellite because of a small helium leak that has just triggered a suspension," Mr Musk said. "stop and investigate".

SpaceX reported that both Galaxy satellites are in good condition and ready for a new launch attempt. "the rocket and payload are healthy and the team is working towards tomorrow's 69-minute launch window, which will begin at 7:06 EDT."

CTOnews.com learned that SpaceX's upcoming mission marks the company's third launch mission in three days.
