CTOnews.com, Oct. 7-in an article in the official community of final Fantasy 14, Skerwell Anix said that hackers are trying to access the account management system used in final Fantasy 14.

SE warns that if it continues to discover more unauthorized access attempts, it may initiate a password reset for the Square Enix account.

"We are currently under attack by a third party who attempts to access the Square Enix account management system by using a combination of email addresses and passwords that appear to be obtained from other online services of other companies."

"if you happen to use the same email address and password combination as other services on your Square Enix account, or if the password you use is easy to guess, we strongly recommend that you change your password immediately," SE added.

Square Enix says it is mitigating the impact of the attack by restricting access to accounts it believes may have been hacked by unauthorized users.

CTOnews.com learned that final Fantasy XIV is the 14th edition of the final Fantasy series and another massively multiplayer online role-playing game after final Fantasy XI. The game was developed and released by Skerwell Ennix. The first version of the game was launched in 2010 and was suspended in 2012 due to a number of problems, followed by a completely reproduced second version of "final Fantasy XIV: the realm of rebirth" in 2013, which has been updated for several editions and has been in operation ever since.
