CTOnews.com, Oct. 7 (Xinhua)-- Hero MotoCorp, India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, launched its first electric motorcycle, the Hero Vida V1, on Friday, hoping to catch up with the wave of clean travel.

The Hero Vida V1 Plus is 145000 rupees (about 12557 yuan), while the V1 Pro is 159000 rupees (13769 yuan).

The car is equipped with a huge square touch screen to replace the dashboard and looks modern.

Hero claims it is a "smartphone with wheels" and promises to "keep you safe on the road".

According to reports, the motorcycle uses a 7-inch touch screen, which is comparable to its competitors such as the Ola S1 series and Ather 450X. In addition, Vida V1 supports cruise mode and keyless functions.

The Vida V1 Pro can travel 165km (IDC) on a single charge and accelerate from zero to 40km / h in 3.2s.

The Vida V1 Plus promises to travel 143km (IDC) on a single charge while accelerating from zero to 40km / h in 3.4s.

CTOnews.com learned that the maximum speed of the two models is 80km / h. In addition, both the V1 Pro and the V1 Plus can be charged at a speed of 1.2km / min.
