CTOnews.com, October 7, when the new iOS version is released, it is bound to bring some unforeseen bug, and these bug will also cause some strange problems for third-party applications, and iOS 16 is no exception. An analysis of user comments in the weeks after the first launch of iOS 16 found that social networking and dating apps were more likely to have problems on iPhone, which runs Apple's latest operating system.

To find out which types of apps experienced the most problems in iOS 16, UnitQ applied artificial intelligence to thousands of comments from 4800 mobile apps on App Store and compared them with comments posted before the launch of iOS 16.

Complaints about the quality of social networking applications increased by 42%, ranking first, the survey found. Dating apps ranked second, with more than 1/3 increase in user complaints about quality problems, and health and fitness apps ranked third, up 21%.

Specific to the type of problem, users of social networking apps complained that they could not upload photos increased by 90%. Reports that Apple Pay cannot be used in shopping apps also increased by 90 per cent, and complaints about blank screens in games increased by 85 per cent.

Not all of these problems occur in consumer-oriented software. In business and productivity applications, the number of users unable to log on to applications increased by 73%. This is a big problem with the new iPhone 14, but Apple fixed the bug in iOS 16.0.1.

It should be noted that these figures represent an increase in the percentage of complaints about specific issues in app reviews, not that 90% of users of iPhone shopping apps cannot use Apple Pay, but that the number of complaints about this issue has almost doubled since before the release of iOS 16.

This analysis does not mean that iOS 16 has more bug,UnitQ and did the same analysis shortly after the release of iOS 15 and found that the problem with the system was more serious. For example, complaints about overbuffering in social networking apps increased by 2900%, and complaints about the lack of download buttons in photo / video apps increased by 1633%.

CTOnews.com learned that these problems with iOS 15 were eventually resolved, and so will iOS 16.
