The 13th generation Kuirui flagship desktop processor will go on sale on October 20, with a pre-price of 4899 yuan for Bank of China.

Core i9-13900K is a 24-core processor with 8 P cores and 16 E cores. Due to the blessing of Intel's "Thermal Velocity Boost" (thermal speed acceleration, referred to as "TVB") technology, the maximum frequency of the chip reaches 5.8GHz. Splave overclocked the core i9-13900K to 8.2 GHz, 41% more than Intel's official acceleration frequency.

Core i9-13900K shows huge overclocking potential, compared with the previous generation of Core i9-12900K only reached 7.6GHz, Core i9-13900K broke the record of Core i9-12900K, an increase of 8%.

CTOnews.com learned that AMD's Zen 4 processor also has strong overclocking capabilities, such as the recent overclocking of the single-core frequency of the Ryzen 9 7950X to up to 7.2 GHz, and the frequency of all cores to 6.5 GHz. However, according to HWBot data, 7.4 GHz (7471.96 MHz) is the highest value reached by Ryzen 9 7950X. As a result, the clock speed of Core i9-13900K is about 11% higher than that of Ryzen 9 7950X.

It will be interesting to see whether the 13th generation core processor can continue to dominate the overclocking rankings. AMD's outdated FX series of chips are known for their super overclocking capabilities, and FX-8370 still holds the highest overclocking record of 8.7 GHz (8722.78 MHz), a feat from 2014.

While Intel and AMD continue to compete with each other in overclocking games, consumers are more concerned about out-of-the-box performance.
