CTOnews.com, Oct. 7, according to the latest tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Tesla has started producing his long-awaited Semi electric truck and plans to start delivering it to Pepsi on December 1. The soft drinks company ordered 100 electric transporters in December 2017, just a month after the Semi truck was released.

Tesla promised that Semi trucks could accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 20 seconds even at "full load" and maintain "highway speed" even on steep slopes. Tesla also said that the Semi truck can charge 70 per cent in 30 minutes. According to Musk, the truck was "very interesting to drive".

CTOnews.com learned that there was relatively little news about the car before this year. Then in May, Tesla began taking orders for Semi trucks with a deposit of $20, 000, and in August, Musk said the Semi truck version with a range of 500 miles (about 804.67 kilometers) would begin delivery this year.

Although Tesla fulfilled Musk's recent promise to deliver Semi trucks this time, the company is known for often delaying the launch of its products. Its electric pickup truck Cybertruck has been delayed several times, and Musk recently said the car is expected to be delivered in 2023. There is also a second-generation Roadster electric sports car, which was originally scheduled for launch in 2020 and then postponed to 2022, along with the Semi truck, and it is not clear when it will be launched. Then there is Tesla's fully autopilot technology, which Musk has promised for years is not far away, and the feature is still in the testing stage.
