CTOnews.com, October 6 (Xinhua)-- Renault is planning to launch an all-electric concept car named after the popular small SUV "Renault 4" in the 1960s, but the setting has been changed to cross-border rest and enhanced cross-country performance, and is expected to make its debut at this year's Paris International Auto Show.

From the latest preview map of the Renault 4 concept car, the appearance and interior design of the new car are integrated with retro elements, with a strong sense of fashion.

The Renault 4 is one of 10 all-electric models Renault plans to launch in 2025, in addition to the compact Megane E-Tech launched earlier this year, the Renault 5 launched in early 2024, a compact SUV expected to be called Scenic, a medium-sized SUV and two Alpine sports cars.

According to CTOnews.com, the original Renault 4 was a highly practical five-door hatchback that sold more than 8 million in its life cycle of about 30 years (1960-1994), bringing France back to the world track in the postwar era.

Renault 4, Renault 5 and Alpine compact cars will be built on the CMF-BEV platform of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, a platform dedicated to the production of pure electric vehicles and will have more new technologies that meet the current needs of pure electric vehicles.

Luca de Mayo, Renault's chief executive, said that by 2030, every new Renault model launched for Europe should be pure electric.

According to Auto News Europe, the architecture will set up a new central part to accommodate the flat battery pack, but 50% of its components are inherited from the CMF-B platform.
