Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, Oct. 6, according to Nippon Keizai Shimbun, Toyota will restart production of the electric SUV bZ4X. Production of the model was suspended in June after it was found that there was something wrong with the bolts connecting the wheels and the wheels were likely to fall off.

At present, Toyota has concluded its investigation and announced that it will make partial changes to the vehicle design to improve safety. The production line of the Wonmachi factory in Aichi Prefecture, Japan is expected to restart in mid-October.

CTOnews.com learned that it was reported that Toyota bZ4X wheels would be fixed with hub bolts instead of previous bolts. The use of hub bolts has the advantages of reducing body weight, so some Lexus models use hub bolts to fix the wheels.

The bZ4X, jointly developed by two Japanese automakers, Toyota and Subaru, is also Toyota's first production electric model. After resuming production, bZ4X and Subaru Solterra combined produced about 1000 vehicles in October and about 6000 to 7000 in November.
