CTOnews.com Microsoft last month began rolling out the latest 22H2 version of Windows 11 to all users worldwide. Not surprisingly, the 22H2 update isn't perfect, with a large number of users reporting bugs they've encountered recently.

Microsoft has confirmed that the new version has a problem with copying files that causes performance degradation, but this problem mainly occurs when using remote desktop.

Microsoft today issued a warning to IT administrators responsible for deploying Windows updates on their organization's systems. The company discovered that Windows 11 22H2's.ppkg configuration had been corrupted, which could lead to an incomplete, partially configured OOBE experience or even an unexpected system restart.

Using configuration packs on Windows 11, version 22H2 (also known as Windows 11 2022 Update) may not work as expected. Windows may only be partially configured, the out-of-the-box experience may not complete, or it may restart unexpectedly. The provisioning packages applied during initial setup are most likely to be affected by this issue.

Note: Windows devices configured using Windows Autopilot are not affected by this issue.

Workaround: If you can provision Windows devices before upgrading to Windows 11 version 22H2, this will prevent this issue.

Some installed printers may only allow default settings: Some printers may not have all of their available features, such as color, duplex printing, or higher resolution.

Copying files/shortcuts using Group Policy preferences may not work as expected: Files or shortcuts may not copy or copy as zero-byte files when using Group Policy preferences on client devices.
