CTOnews.com Apple iPhone 14 Plus is a non-Pro iPhone launched alongside the iPhone 14 Standard Edition, featuring a larger display, improved camera and performance, and more. Apple has previously announced that the iPhone 14 Plus will be delivered to the first customers on Friday, October 7. The iPhone 14 Plus 128GB version costs 6999 yuan, 256GB 7899 yuan and 512GB 9699 yuan.

Before the launch, MacRumors took stock of five key elements of the iPhone 14 Plus.

The iPhone 14 Plus is the first standard iPhone with a larger 6.7-inch display, a size previously limited to Pro models. Because the display lacks Pro features such as ProMotion dynamic refresh rates and has more internal space allocated to batteries, the iPhone 14 Plus is expected to have the longest battery life of any non-Pro iPhone.

According to Apple, users can expect 26 hours of video playback and 100 hours of audio playback on the iPhone 14 Plus. Like all iPhone 14 models, the iPhone 14 Plus supports MagSafe charging, which charges the device to 50% charge in 30 minutes.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have the same camera features and specifications as the iPhone 14 Standard, meaning customers don't have to consider which device is better when choosing between the two devices.

Both models feature a 12-megapixel main camera with an aperture of/1.5 and sensor‑shift optical image stabilization. Both models have a 120-degree field of view, a/2.4 aperture and a 13-mm lens. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also feature True Tone flash, support for deep fusion, smart HDR, photon engine, and a new autofocus enabled selfie camera.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus use the A15 Bionic chip that came with last year's iPhone 13 Pro. There are two variations of the A15 Bionic chip: a 4-core GPU and a 5-core GPU. Last year, the 5-core GPU chip was reserved only for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, while the iPhone 13 standard model used a 4-core GPU.

Apple says that with chips from last year's iPhone 13 Pro, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus can deliver powerful performance for apps, games and AR experiences. All models of the iPhone 14 series, including the iPhone 14 Pro, support an updated internal design for better heat management.

Ultra Retina XDR Display iPhone 14 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch display, the same display size as iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Plus's Super Retina XDR display reaches 458ppi, can reach peak brightness of 1200 nits, is used for HDR content, supports contrast ratio of 200000:1, original color display, wide color gamut.

Durability The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max all feature ultra-ceramic crystal panels on the front. The ultra-ceramic crystal panel, announced at the launch of the iPhone 12, introduces nanocrystals into the display glass to provide better protection against drops and stretches. All iPhone 14 series models are IP68 waterproof and dustproof, meaning they can stay underwater for up to 30 minutes at depths of up to 6 meters.
