According to the data, Ruiyu earned NT $9.584 billion (2.156 billion yuan) in September, down 7.83% from a month earlier and 1.85% from a year earlier, the first monthly revenue decline since May 2017 compared with the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that Ruiyu's revenue in the third quarter was still the second highest in history, reaching NT $29.772 billion (about RMB 6.699 billion), down 2.39 per cent from a month earlier and up 2.82 per cent from a year earlier.

Taiwan media pointed out that since the beginning of this year, Ruiyu has benefited from the rising demand for network chips, coupled with rising costs and specifications, which has led to an increase in the overall ASP (unit price of sales) and expanded the scale of revenue, with cumulative revenue of 90.028 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 20.256 billion yuan) in the first three quarters, up 15.22% from a year earlier, rewriting a new high for the same period.
