CTOnews.com October 5 news, Microsoft today launched Windows 11 version 22H2 Release preview version Build 22621.608 (KB5017389). Microsoft said that as announced by Panos Panay a few weeks ago, Microsoft will provide an additional set of experiences for customers of the Windows 11 22H2 version in October as part of providing continuous innovation and value for Windows.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft Windows version 11 22H2 Build 22621.608 (KB5017389) updates include tagged file explorer, recommended actions on matters such as phone numbers and dates, new taskbar overflow menus, and enhanced sharing to nearby devices.

The following is the update:

New features! File Explorer has been enhanced. It now includes tags to help users organize file browser sessions as they do in Edge. On the new File Explorer home page, you can pin important files for quick and easy access. With the power of Microsoft OneDrive, you can view the actions of colleagues on shared files. Personalized advice is also provided based on the user's Microsoft account.

New features! When the user copies the project, suggestions for actions are added. For example, Microsoft offers advice when copying phone numbers or future dates, and scenarios include making phone calls with Teams or Skype or adding events to a calendar application.

New features! Added taskbar overflow menu. The taskbar will provide a menu entry to display all overflow applications in the same space.

New features! More devices can now be shared. Users can use nearby shares to discover and share to more devices, including desktops.

Microsoft also pointed out that while these features are being launched for users of the Release Preview channel, not everyone will get them immediately after installing KB5017389 updates. Microsoft will push these features in a staggered state so that the company can "monitor feedback from Windows Insiders" and possibly collect telemetry data on usage.

For the average user using the Windows 11 2022 update, the new feature experience is expected to be officially launched in late October.
