CTOnews.com, Oct. 4 (Xinhua)-- according to reports from many users online, an Bug will remind some second-generation AirPods Pro 2 users to "replace" the batteries of their headphones as soon as possible.

When the battery of the AirPods Pro headset or MagSafe charging box runs low, this error seems to trigger a battery replacement notification from the Find My application of a nearby device. Because the second-generation AirPods Pro uses U1 chip for precise lookup, enhances the Find My function, and transmits its battery power information at any time, so the reminder notification may be related to these new functions.

The notice urges users to "replace the battery as soon as possible", but we know that the AirPods battery cannot be replaced and the device just needs to be recharged. Users who receive the notification may not even immediately associate it with their AirPods Pro, because headphones are called "Item" in the notification, with simple references to "left", "right" and "box".

This notification seems to be similar to that used by AirTag when the CR2032 battery is running out and needs to be replaced, so the system seems to confuse the two products.

CTOnews.com learned that it is not clear how common the problem is, and Apple has not responded to it, which is likely to be resolved by software updates in due course.
