CTOnews.com, Oct. 4, Samsung has released an update to Android 12 for Galaxy A11 phones. This economical smartphone was launched in early 2020 and runs on Android 10. The Android 12 update will be its last major software update.

The Galaxy A11 has been updated with One UI Core 4.1 based on Android 12 and the firmware version is A115FXXU3CVI3. It also brought a security patch for August 2022 and fixed dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities. New software updates are currently being launched in Sri Lanka and are expected to expand to other countries in the coming days.

CTOnews.com learned that the Samsung Galaxy A11 uses a 6.4-inch TFT LCD screen, has a 1560 × 720 resolution, weighs 177g, supports dual SIM card functions, and has a rear fingerprint sensor. In terms of configuration, Samsung Galaxy A11 is equipped with an eight-core 1.8GHz processor, built-in 4000mAh battery, 15W fast charging, 3GB memory and 32GB body storage, USB-C and 3.5mm headset interface, Bluetooth 4.2 support. As for the camera, Samsung Galaxy A11 has a front 8MP camera and a rear 13MP (f / 1.8) + 5MP (f / 2.4) + 2MP (f / 2.2) triple camera.

The Android 12 update brings color palettes to Galaxy A11. It can extract primary colors from mobile phone wallpaper and apply them to various UI elements. Samsung has also improved the shape of widgets and the UI design of widget selectors. Users can directly select the audio output when locking the screen and add more widgets there. Dark mode has been improved, as well as new charging animations. The brightness and volume sliders are now larger and easier to use.

Samsung has improved all built-in apps on the Galaxy A11 with updates to Android 12. The camera app is now purer and acquires pet portrait mode. Video recording starts immediately when the user touches the shutter button.

The album application enhances the story function, better classifies and arranges albums, and can edit or delete personal information (date, place, and time) in the image. You can even recreate old or blurred pictures in the album application. The album Photo Editor feature can now store editing history, which means that edits can be undone / redone without losing the original file.

Samsung keyboard now has language advice supported by Grammarly, quick access to emoticons and GIF, and clipboard protection. One UI Core 4. 1 has improved the sharing menu. Now you can give priority to what you want to see in the sharing menu, navigate easily, and get tips for editing pictures before sharing.

Calendar applications have new widgets that can quickly add events and have better search options. It is also easier to share calendars with others. Choosing a date and time is now easier, and you can even restore deleted events. The updated Samsung Internet web browser brings faster search suggestions, new home screen components, and the ability to launch in private mode.

The equipment maintenance section can now display more information at a glance. Including the overall status of the phone, and the diagnosis of mobile phone problems. Samsung has also added more accessibility features, including customizable flash notifications, the ability to edit blurry / transparent effects, and floating buttons that are always available.

Other new features include security and emergency menus, resizable picture-in-picture mode, quick access to pop-up options, enhanced Edge panels, and the option to skip an alarm. Search capabilities in information, my files, and settings applications have also been improved.
