CTOnews.com, October 4, according to CCTV news, on October 3, the Changde-Yiyang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway (referred to as the "Changyi section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway") officially entered the joint commissioning and test state, laying the foundation for the full line operation by the end of the year.

The Changyi section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway is located in the northwest of Hunan Province. the main line is 91.164 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350km per hour. the line starts from Changde City, Hunan Province, via Taojiang County and Hanshou County to Changde City.

CTOnews.com learned that the section from Changde to Yiyang to Changsha of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway is an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway corridor in China.

The railway department said that after the opening of the Changyi section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway, it will form a fast railway corridor around Hunan Province with the Guizhou-Changzhou Railway, the Zhang Jihuai High-speed Railway and the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway, connecting Changsha, Yiyang, Changde, Zhangjiajie, Jishou and Huaihua to form a high-speed rail link in Hunan Province to further improve the overall efficiency of the road network.
