CTOnews.com October 4 news, today, Jidu Automobile announced that ROBO-01 officially entered the whole vehicle research and development stage. Earlier, ROBO-01, the first auto robot concept car, was released in June this year.

CTOnews.com has learned that Jidu plans to officially launch a limited version of its first production model this fall, which has 90 per cent similarity to the ROBO-01 concept car. In addition, Jidu will release the design of its second mass production model at this year's Guangzhou Auto Show.

According to previous information, the ROBO-01 concept car is equipped with "jump light" lidar, active lifting tail, foldable U-shaped steering wheel and many other active deformable structures.

In addition, the set autopilot system is equipped with Nvidia's "dual" Orin X chip, and the whole vehicle is equipped with 31 out-of-vehicle sensors, including 2 lidars, 5 millimeter wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars and 12 cameras.

In terms of intelligent cockpit, Jidu intelligent cockpit has the functions of full offline voice, millisecond response, 3D man-machine co-driving map, full scene interaction inside and outside the car, and so on. Set will launch Qualcomm's fourth-generation Snapdragon digital cockpit platform-8295 chip, which supports the 3D effect presentation of unbounded integrated ultra-clear large screen, and the screen also supports switching between "3D man-machine co-driving map" mode.
