CTOnews.com, October 3, Acer recently launched H-series and S-series smart TVs in India. The company has launched five new smart TVs of different sizes, with MEMC, HDR10+, Dolby horizon and other high-end features, but none of them has a high refresh rate panel. That will change. Indkal CEO Anand Dubey, Acer's TV licensee, said smart TVs with 120Hz screens were under development.

Acer will launch televisions with a refresh rate of 120Hz by the end of this year and support specially adjusted audio settings, Anand Dubey said.

Anand Dubey also hinted that the new 120Hz TV will be a game-centric product.

Acer recently launched Acer H-series and S-series smart TVs in India. The new Acer Smart TV S-Series 32HD model starts at 14999 Indian rupees (about 1314 yuan). The H-series 43UHD models start at 29999 Indian rupees (about 2628 yuan), the H-series 50UHD models start at 34999 Indian rupees (about 3066 yuan), and the H-series 55UHD models start at 39999 Indian rupees (about 3504 yuan). The most high-end S-Series 65UHD models start at 64999 Indian rupees (about 5694 yuan).

The Acer S-Series 65UHD model features a 65-inch rimless screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a peak brightness of 420 nits. The TV comes in up to 1.07 billion colors and supports HDR 10 + and HLG. It also supports Dolby horizon. Acer S-Series 65UHD also has UHD up-frequency function, as well as other functions, such as digital noise reduction, fine-tuning, MEMC and so on.

CTOnews.com learned that Acer's S-Series UHD65 smart TV is equipped with a 50W HiPower soundbar loudspeaker system that supports Dolby panoramic sound. The smart TV runs Android TV 11, which means all Google smart TV features, such as Chromecast and Google Duo video calls, are supported on Acer's S-Series UHD65 smart TV. This smart TV is equipped with a Cortex-A55 processor, 2GB memory and 16GB internal storage.

Acer S-Series UHD65 connection options include dual-band Wi-Fi, bi-directional Bluetooth, 3 HDMI 2.1ports, 1 USB-A port, 1 USB type-C port, and 1 AV port.
