The project team has overcome the difficult problems of easy tempering, NOx emission control, large-scale hydrogen mixing precision control technology and gas turbine joint adjustment technology.

In addition, the modified gas turbine unit has the compatibility of pure natural gas and natural gas hydrogen mixed operation mode, and has the flexibility under 0%-30% hydrogen mixed operation condition. During the hydrogen-mixed operation of the gas turbine, the indexes of the system are stable, and the reliability of the whole scheme has been fully verified.

CTOnews.com learned that the State Power Investment said that this is the first time that China has carried out a high proportion of hydrogen-mixed combustion test and scientific research on heavy-duty gas turbine commercial units, and it is also the first demonstration project in the world to carry out high-proportion hydrogen-mixed combustion in natural gas combined cycle and cogeneration commercial units. It indicates that a complete design scheme of hydrogen blending retrofit of gas turbine power station has been mastered in China, which has accumulated valuable experience for accelerating the development and operation of domestic independent hydrogen gas turbine.
