The total length of the Chengdu-Meishan line of the urban (suburban) railway is about 59 km, of which the viaduct and ground section is about 49 km and the underground section is about 10 km. The line starts from Honglian Station in Tianfu New District of Sichuan and ends at Meishan East Station in Meishan City. it is mainly laid along Jiazhou Road, Yizhou Avenue, Meishan Section of Tianfu Avenue, Wenzhong Street and Peicheng Road.

There are 13 stations in the line, including 8 elevated stations and 5 underground stations. From north to southwest, there are Honglian Station, Qinhuangsi Station, Xinglong Lake West Station, Fried Tea Station, Wenchuangcheng Station, Shigao Station, South Tianfu Park Station, Lego Station, Black Dragon Beach Station, Mindong New area Station, Meishan North Station, Music Square Station, Meishan East Station. In addition, there are 1 vehicle base in Gaofang Village, 1 car park in Meishan North, 2 main substations and 1 control center. The vehicles are grouped with 4 type A cars in the city, and the maximum running speed is 160km / h.

CTOnews.com learned that the construction period of the project is 51 months and will realize a 30-minute rail commute from Meishan East Station to Chengdu. At that time, it will only take 15 minutes from Shigao Station to Xinglong Lake West Station.

The urban (suburban) railway Chengdu-Meishan line project is an express rail transit line connecting Chengdu and Meishan, which is of great strategic significance to promote the development of Chengmei city.
