CTOnews.com, October 3, the latest Canalys report shows that in the second quarter of 2022, due to the continued downturn in education procurement compared with the same period last year, laptop shipments fell for the third consecutive quarter, falling 18.6% to 54.5 million units.

Several of the world's largest PC markets faced huge inflationary pressures in the second quarter of 2022 and have not yet been effectively contained, leading to a setback in demand, especially from the consumer sector, the report said.

CTOnews.com learned that the top five notebook shipments in the second quarter of 2022 were Lenovo (24%), Hewlett-Packard (18%), Dell (17%), Asustek (8%) and Acer (8%).

In Chinese mainland, the top five are Lenovo (37 per cent), Dell (11 per cent), Huawei (10 per cent), Asustek (9 per cent) and HP (7 per cent).
