CTOnews.com learned that in an interview with Japanese magazine Axis, Craig Federighi, who is in charge of iOS development, said that Mobile Island represents iPhone's first major user experience change since iPhone X five years ago.

One of the discussions is what the remaining space can do if the sensor area on the screen is made smaller.
