CTOnews.com learned that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that by the end of August, the total number of 5G base stations reached 2.102 million, accounting for 19.8% of the total number of mobile base stations, accounting for an increase of 5.5 percentage points compared with the end of last year. Among them, 677,000 new 5G base stations were built from January to August this year.

At the end of September this year, China Mobile announced that in terms of mobile business, the total number of customers reached about 973 million, with a net increase of 2.109 million this month and a cumulative net increase of 16.35 million this year; the number of 5G package customers reached about 538.79 million. In terms of cable broadband services, the total number of customers reached 261 million, with a net increase of 2.648 million this month and a cumulative net increase of 20.797 million this year.

In the first half of the year, China Mobile's personal market revenue reached 256.1 billion yuan, up 0.2% year-on-year; 970 million mobile customers, a net increase of 12.96 million, of which 5G package customers reached 511 million, a net increase of 124 million.
