CTOnews.com learned that Tesla is currently increasing production at two major new factories at the same time: the Berlin Super Factory and the Texas Super Factory. According to data previously released by Tesla, the Berlin super factory reached a weekly production capacity of 1000 vehicles in mid-June, so Tesla's Berlin super factory doubled its production capacity in about three months.

Tesla's Berlin Super Factory produces 2000 Model Y vehicles per week, which will have a significant impact on Tesla's global operations. The vehicles will be sold in Europe, meaning that Tesla exports 2000 fewer vehicles a week from China or the United States to meet European demand, which will greatly improve Tesla's logistics and transportation time and increase its overall production capacity.

As for the Shanghai factory, on September 17, the environmental information disclosure platform of Shanghai enterprises and institutions announced the second phase of the Tesla super factory project (phase I)-production line optimization project. Public information shows that Tesla Shanghai super factory production line optimization project has been completed, and will begin to debug.

According to the publicity document, the optimization of the production line is mainly for the expansion of stamping workshop, body workshop, painting workshop, final assembly workshop and logistics operation center. At the same time, Tesla said that the project will increase production capacity by increasing working hours, increasing the number of employees and increasing the frequency of material turnover, and is expected to add 4000 employees after the optimization of the production line is completed.
