The line starts from the "Red Old Capital" Ruijin Station in Ruijin City, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, south through Huichang County and Anyuan County of Ganzhou City to Xunwu County, and through Pingyuan County and Meijiang District of Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, connecting Zhangping to Longchuan Railway Meizhou Station.

CTOnews.com learned that the Ruimei railway has a total length of 240km and a design speed of 160km per hour. It is a national Ⅰ single-track electrified passenger and freight railway with a construction period of 4.5 years. Ruimei Railway has seven stations, including Ruijin Station, Tianxin Station, Huichang Station, Anyuan Station, Xunwu Station, Pingyuan Station and Meizhou Station, among which Tianxin Station, Huichang Station, Anyuan Station, Xunwu Station and Pingyuan Station are new stations. Ruijin Station and Meizhou Station are existing stations.

The whole line is mainly for passenger transport, taking into account freight transport, and all stations can handle passenger and freight services. The Guangdong section of the Ruimei railway, which starts from Pingyuan to Meizhou, has a total length of 75 kilometers, with bridges and tunnels accounting for 76 percent, of which the 930-meter Meijiang Bridge is a control project.

Ruimei Railway connects Ganzhou to Ruijin to Longyan in the north and Zhangping to Longchuan in the south. After the completion of the project, it will further improve the road network structure in southern Jiangxi and northeast Guangdong, facilitate people's travel along the line, promote economic and social development along the line, and contribute to the development of the old revolutionary base areas in southern Jiangxi and the implementation of the strategy of rural rejuvenation. is of great significance.
