CTOnews.com, October 1, according to a CCTV report, China's exports in the first eight months of this year totaled 15.48 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.2 percent over the same period last year. China's contribution to GDP continued to increase, which has become a bright spot in China's economy this year.

In recent years, the export of wind power equipment in China has increased rapidly. At present, 60% of the wind power equipment in the global market comes from China. According to reports, in the first quarter of this year, China exported 9499 wind turbines, and the length of a single blade is nearly 80 meters.

CTOnews.com learned that the National Energy Administration released national power industry statistics from January to August this year on September 21.

By the end of August, the country's installed power generation capacity was about 2.47 billion kilowatts, an increase of 8.0 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the installed capacity of wind power is about 340 million kilowatts, an increase of 16.6 percent over the same period last year, and the installed capacity of solar power is about 350 million kilowatts, an increase of 27.2 percent over the same period last year.

From January to August, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 2499 hours, 67 hours less than that of the same period last year. Of these, thermal power was 2930 hours, 64 hours less than the same period last year; nuclear power 4995 hours, 224 hours less than the same period last year; and wind power 1460 hours, 40 hours less than the same period last year.

From January to August this year, China's major power generation enterprises completed an investment of 320.9 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 18.7 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, solar power generation totaled 102.5 billion yuan, an increase of 323.8% over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 266.7 billion yuan, an increase of 10.7% over the same period last year.
