CTOnews.com, October 1, according to information on Intel's website, from October 3, 2022, all technical and warranty support for Intel NAND solid-state drive products will be provided directly by Solidigm.

CTOnews.com has reported that in August this year, Solidigm just launched its first consumer NVMe SSD, which is the P41 Plus series that uses PCIe 4.0x4 master + QLC flash memory scheme. It is rumored that Solidigm P41 Plus is the spiritual sequel of Intel 670p.

The Solidigm P41 Plus series is available in the form factor M.2 2230 / 2242 / 2280, as well as 512GB / 1TB / 2TB capacity. Officials claim that the SSD has a continuous read speed of 4125 MB/s and provides an excellent PCIe 4.0 performance experience at a price that does not exceed the budget of daily PC users.

Intel's NAND solid-state drive business was acquired by SK Hynix in November 2020. At the end of last year, SK Hynix set up a SSD subsidiary named Solidigm in the United States after completing the first phase of the acquisition of Intel's NAND flash memory and SSD business.

It is reported that Solidigm plans to invest more than $100 million (about 701 million yuan) to build a semiconductor R & D center in California, which covers an area of 230000 square feet (about 21367 square meters). The company expects to move in in the first quarter of 2023, when 1900 jobs will be created.

In the second quarter of this year, SK hynix & Solidigm's NAND Flash revenue reached $3.61 billion, an increase of 12.1%, according to market research firm TrendForce Jibang Consulting.
