CTOnews.com has learned that the Chengdu-Dawan high-speed railway is an important part of the main channel of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway along the river, and will form a high-speed railway channel (350km / h) with the high-speed railway link line from Zheng Wan, Yichang to Zhengzhou, and Hanyi, which will help give full play to the comparative advantages of the railway and give full play to the backbone role of the railway in the integrated transport corridor along the river.

According to the preliminary design of Chengdawan Railway, Chengdawan Railway mainly includes three sections of projects: the length of the new main line from Wanzhou North Station to Dazhnan (excluding) in Chongqing is about 84km; the length of the new main line from Dazhou (including) to Suining Station (excluding) is 222.352 km; and the length of new line from Suining Station (inclusive) to Ziyang West (inclusive) is 119.148km.

The design speed of the main line of Chengda-Wan railway is 350km / h, which is a double-line electric traction high-speed railway with a length of 341.5km. In addition, it also includes the introduction of related supporting projects such as Wanzhou, Dazhou, Nanchong, Suining, Chengdu hub and access to Ziyang West Railway Station.

According to reports, the Chengdu Dawan high-speed railway starts from Tianfu Station in Chengdu in the west, passes through Ziyang City, Suining City, Nanchong City, Dazhou City, and Kaizhou District and Wanzhou District of Chongqing City, and is connected to the Wanzhou North Station of the existing Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway, with a total length of 477 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The construction period is five years.

The Chengdu-Dawan high-speed railway has 13 stations, including Tianfu Station, Tianfu Airport Station, Ziyang West Station, Lezhi Station, Suining Station, Pengxi South Station, Nanchong North Station, Ying Shanxi Station, Quxian North Station, Dazhou South Station, Kaijiang South Station, Yuexi Station and Wanzhou North Station, among which Suining Station, Nanchong North Station and Wanzhou North Station are existing stations, and 10 stations such as Tianfu Station are newly built stations. Among them, the Jialing River Bridge in Nanchong with a main span of 328 meters is a full-line control project, while Ziyang Tuojiang Bridge, Suining Fujiang Bridge and Nanchong Huangjiashan Tunnel are all important and difficult projects.

The project relies on the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River to the east and central regions such as the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and to the west through the Sichuan-Tibet Railway to Lhasa, which constitutes the most convenient and direct railway passage into Tibet in the eastern and central part of China. The realization from Shanghai to Lhasa will be a great pioneering work in the history of high-speed railway in China.
