CTOnews.com, September 30, AMD announced on the official blog platform yesterday that the PRO Edition 22.Q3 driver is now available, supports the Windows 11 22H2 version, and improves the performance of OpenGL applications by 72%.

AMD said that the latest drivers have brought significant performance improvements. For example, in 3D animation Autodesk Maya software, the AMD Radeon PRO W6800 graphics card has 41% better performance than the Nvidia RTX A5000 graphics card using Quadro Optimal Driver for Enterprise (ODE) 516.94.

The following is the official performance improvement data released by AMD. Compared with the PRO Edition 22.Q2 driver, the performance in Autodesk Maya has been improved by up to 72%.

CTOnews.com learned that the AMD PRO Edition 22.Q3 driver has been tested and approved by Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo and is available through their driver downloads.

According to AMD, the PRO Edition 22.Q3 driver contains the rebuilt OpenGL driver. The new architecture was launched to consumers with an adrenaline 22.7.1 driver in July 2022 and is now extended to professional user platforms. The new architecture will also help to reduce the power consumption of Radeon PRO workstation graphics cards and improve the performance of the integrated platform.
