CTOnews.com, September 29 (Xinhua)-- Apple's latest iPadOS 16 Beta 4 beta released earlier this week will extend the zoom option to the 2018 (A12X chip) and 2020 (A12Z chip) iPad Pro 11-inch models to provide more screen space. This function was previously limited to iPad models equipped with M1 chips.

Apple says this mode provides users with more screen space by scaling the resolution of the display, which is useful for functions such as split-screen display and front-stage scheduling. CTOnews.com learned that Apple announced earlier this week that pre-stage scheduling would be extended to 2018 and 2020 iPad Pro models, although external displays are not supported.

According to developer Steve Troughton-Smith, for the iPad Pro 12.9in, more space options are still limited to models with M1 chips. Apple's iPadOS 16 is still in Beta testing and will release a major version of iPadOS 16.1 in October.
