Since March 15,2018, users of the third generation of new social security cards will generate electronic social security cards synchronously by the national social security card service platform and distribute them to synchronous application channels after successful application of physical social security cards.

The third generation social security card that has received and enabled social security function from March 15,2018 to December 31,2020 will be generated by the national social security card platform on November 1,2022. Cardholders need to log in to the synchronous application channel and register as real-name users, and use them normally with their consent. For the third generation social security card newly applied after December 31,2020, electronic social security card will be generated in the synchronous application channel at the same time of receiving it, and will be used normally after obtaining my consent.

There are two channels for synchronous application: through electronic social security card Alipay Mini programs, or in the social security card cooperative banks ICBC, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Postal Savings Bank of the issuing bank App.
