Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, Sept. 29, Tesla officially raised the rates for California supercharging stations.

CTOnews.com learned that this is not the first time Tesla has raised prices in the United States, and it certainly won't be the last.

At present, electricity is obviously cheaper than natural gas, but electricity bills in the United States have risen accordingly. If you can recharge at home, buying an electric car can save a lot of money. And if you need to recharge at a public charging pile, the price may vary from site to site, but it will be more expensive than at home.

According to Electrek, a full charge at the Tesla supercharging station costs about $5 to $10. Now, after several price increases, many Tesla supercharging stations in California charge as much as $0.50 per kilowatt-hour during peak hours. Add: CTOnews.com California netizens reported that some of the charging posts rose to $0.63 per kilowatt-hour.

Calculate that it costs about $30 to charge a 60-kilowatt-hour battery pack and about $50 to charge a 100-kilowatt-hour battery. Of course, $30 to $50 can run 300 miles (about 482.8 kilometers) or more on a tram, and you won't get that mileage if you spend it on a gas truck.

According to Tesla's official email, Tesla has adjusted California's busy-hour charging rates since Wednesday, September 28.

"starting from Wednesday, September 28, the charging rates and off-peak hours of some supercharging stations will change. If you start charging during off-peak hours, you can avoid peak periods and save charging costs. Click on the charger map on the touchscreen in the car to view the rates."

CTOnews.com warned that Tesla's move is aimed at allowing users to charge off the peak to avoid power shortages caused by everyone charging at the same time.
