The Hai-Yi high-speed railway is the extension of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network, Beijing-Harbin-Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao passageway, starting from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, through Suihua City, and finally to Yichun City. The total length of the main line is 318 kilometers, with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour and a construction period of five years. Harbin, Harbin North, Hulan North, Xinglong Town West, Suihua South, Qingannan, Tieli, Riyue Gorge and Yichun West are nine stations on the Hai-Yi high-speed railway line, of which six stations are newly built stations, and the railway stations are reconstruction stations. Harbin and Harbin North Station are existing stations.

CTOnews.com learned that the Hai-Yi high-speed railway is composed of the Harbin-Tieli section and the Tieli-Yichun section, of which the Tieli-Yichun section started construction in October 2021. The main line from Harbin to Tieli, which has a total length of 188km, is located in alpine areas, with seasonal permafrost distributed in many places along the line, and the construction is difficult, accounting for 72% of the bridge. among them, the 16709-meter Hulan River Bridge is a full-line control project.
