Hesai factory uses the industry's very advanced intelligent manufacturing technology and intelligent cloud service MES central control system, the application of a large number of intelligent industrial robots. The automation rate of the whole production line is as high as 90%, and the running time of the whole line is 60s, which means that an average of one qualified lidar product is offline every 60s.

CTOnews.com learned that Hosai has also invested nearly US $200 million to build a "Maxwell" intelligence center with a planned annual capacity of more than 1 million units, and the new plant is expected to be officially operational in 2023.

The report on the Application of Lidar in Automotive and Industry released by Yole recently shows that China is in a leading position in the global automotive lidar market, mentioning 15 lidar companies located in China, among which the two largest lidar companies in the world are from China, namely Wesai Technology and Suiteng Juchuang. In terms of revenue ranking, Wesai Technology is the largest lidar company in the world in terms of total revenue in the automotive field. In the field of self-driving taxis, Wesai also takes the lead, ranking first in the world with 58 per cent of revenue, more than twice the share of second-placed Waymo.
