Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com Sept. 29, Bridgestone China official WeChat announced that Bridgestone recently signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with Tridan's team to provide lunar rover tires for NASA's manned lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) project to support future lunar exploration.

According to reports, this manned lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) needs to withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environment for a long time. To this end, as a well-known supplier of cutting-edge instruments, digital imaging products and software, aerospace and defense electronics, as well as engineering systems, Tlitan has formed a strong team, including Nissan North America, Sierra Space, Dexilon Group and other industry leaders.

To ensure that tires work properly and safely in harsh conditions such as rocks and deserts, extreme temperatures and cosmic ray radiation, Bridgestone is using "controlled grounding" technology to develop and validate the concept of metal non-inflatable tires.

CTOnews.com learned that the Lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) is NASA's next-generation lunar rover project, and astronauts can drive a LTV on the moon in a spacesuit. The development of LTV is part of the NASA Artemis project, which involves sending astronauts to the moon, especially at the South Pole, by 2025.

However, the first step of the Artemis plan did not go well, and the launch of Artemis 1 was postponed many times.
