CTOnews.com September 29, Nvidia recently released the RTX 40 series graphics card and DLSS 3 game resolution oversampling technology, claiming that DLSS 3 can improve the performance of the RTX 40 series to as much as four times that of traditional rendering technology.

Today, foreign media Digital Foundry (Mao Society) won the exclusive right to use the RTX 4090 graphics card and tested the performance improvement of "Cyberpunk 2077", "Marvel Spider-Man: remake" and "Portal RTX" under DLSS 3.

Nvidia does not allow Digital Foundry to display game frame rate comparisons, but can use percentages to show performance differences, including native 4K and DLSS 2. According to the test, DLSS3's game performance is expected to improve 1 to 4 times, that is, 2 to 5 times the performance.

DigitalFoundry pointed out that Nvidia DLSS 3 essentially generates full frames based on game data such as motion vector and optical flow analysis, but this introduces additional latency, and Nvidia uses Reflex technology to solve the latency problem, but it is still higher than the previous DLSS 2 latency.

CTOnews.com learned that DLSS 3, powered by new fourth-generation Tensor Core and GeForce RTX 40 series GPU optical flow accelerators, is the latest version of Nvidia's deep learning supersampling technology and features groundbreaking optical multi-frame generation.
