CTOnews.com learned that the BMW XM is equipped with an M hybrid drive system consisting of a 4.4L V8 twin turbocharged engine and a high-performance motor, with an integrated maximum output power of 480kW and an integrated peak torque of 800Nm. Combined with an 8-speed M Steptronic manual self-integrated gearbox and M xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system, its acceleration time of 0-100km / h is only 4.3 seconds.

The M hybrid drive system equipped with BMW XM uses the fifth generation BMW eDrive electric drive technology and is equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motor and ternary lithium battery pack. Under the WLTP standard, the pure electric mileage of BMW XM can reach 80 km. In addition, BMW XM is equipped with an electric car sound simulation created by BMW Group and Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer.

In terms of driving, users can choose as many as 5 driving modes according to their needs, realizing a variety of combination modes such as pure electric driving or hybrid driving. The BMW XM is also the first BMW M model to be equipped with an overall active steering system, allowing the new car to achieve four-wheel steering, with adaptive M motion suspension Pro with active roll stabilization technology, M xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system and a new "4WD Sand" mode.

In terms of design, BMW XM has a body size of more than 5.1m and a wheelbase of 3105 mm. It is completely independently developed and designed by BMW M. it is an exclusive high-performance model of the BMW M brand. BMW XM standard adaptive LED headlights, the new headlamps are divided into two separate modules, the top integrated with daytime driving lights and steering lights, near and far lights are integrated at the bottom; the car also uses a large-size BMW circular bright grille to form a similar octagonal profile, standard 22-inch aluminum alloy wheels, optional 23-inch wheels.

On the cockpit side, the lines and surfaces of the BMW XM dashboard, center console, door trim and seats are all designed with aggressive geometry and high-quality materials, BMW iDrive with the eighth generation operating system, an integrated floating curved screen consisting of a 12.3inch full liquid crystal digital dashboard and a 14.9inch touchable central display screen, and tilts slightly to the driver. At the level of intelligent technology, the new car will be equipped with BMW's current state-of-the-art self-driving assistance system Pro and automatic parking assistance system Plus.

BMW Group said that in 2022, BMW Group will mass-produce and trial-produce 15 pure electric models; the "New Generation" model based on the new framework will begin trial production in 2024 and will be unveiled in 2025; and by the end of 2025, BMW Group plans to deliver 2 million pure electric vehicles worldwide.
