September 28, according to foreign media reports, at Intel Innovation 2022, Samsung display CEO JS Choi showed a new prototype computer, which can stretch from a 13-inch tablet to a 17-inch display with a flexible display screen and a sliding mechanism.

Without a keyboard, the slippery PC looks more like a tablet. Choi said it would be the world's first 17-inch slidable PC display, which would meet the need for a large screen and portability. The demonstration shows that Samsung is betting on the sliding technology of its PC line, rather than relying on collapsible technology in phones and tablets.

Intel also showed off its new Unison software on the display, which aims to connect Intel-driven computers to smartphones.

At present, sliding PC is just a concept, when or whether it will become a reality product is unknown. But the design shows a new way for the PC industry to move beyond traditional flip laptops.

In addition, Intel unveiled the 13th generation of Raptor Lake processors, including its flagship core i9-13900K.
